The money raised in the appeal will help 'Riders' ensure that more health workers in Africa have the reliable transport they need to deliver health care to everyone who needs it, no matter where they live. The matched funding will specifically help support programs in Zambia and Kenya.
The appeal launched in June at 'Riders' Day of Champions by British motorcycle racing star Cal Crutchlow. The annual Day of Champions is Riders for Health's biggest event of the year, held before the British GP at the famous Silverstone Circuit. Leading MotoGP riders joined Cal in appearing in the above video encouraging people to donate by texting RFH to a UK phone number.
